Course Description
This Practicum course offers qualified learners an intensive opportunity to have live supervision of their work and be part of the classic Solution-Focused "team behind the mirror". Learners will participate in co-therapy sessions with clients, and in the team behind the mirror. Sessions will be recorded and micro-analyzed in group supervision. Learners will learn what they are doing well and what they may want to do differently.
PLEASE NOTE: The SFBTC Program is undergoing a programmatic review over academic year 2023-2024, and courses have been scheduled up until August 2024 at which point the Program and courses will pause. More information will be shared as we near the end of the Program Review period.
Prerequisites
Must have completed Foundations, Assumptions, Theory and Skills course, 3 elective courses before entering the Practicum course.Instructors

Dina is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, a registered psychotherapist and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She works at a children’s mental health clinic in Hamilton, Ontario. Dina provides training throughout Canada and internationally on solution-focused therapy and single session therapy and is an adamant researcher into practice-based evidence. Dina is involved in ongoing research on updating the classical ‘team behind the mirror’ and co-developer of the ‘Therapist Checklist’. She is co-editor of the Canadian SFBT Newsletter and one of the co-founders of the Canadian SFBT Centre.
