Course Description
Teaching and learning in the 21st century physics classroom requires a strong foundation in a variety of practices. Recognizing the uniqueness of every teacher, this course looks at a variety of teaching and learning strategies that match your educational philosophy against the Grade 11 and 12 Ontario Physics curriculum. One of the primary goals is to help you develop and deliver curriculum that is meaningful and engaging for your future student learners. Much of the course focuses on the collegial discussion of strategies and collaboration is encouraged through a number of activities such as the design of a unit and development of key concepts. - Certificate of Qualification:
Must be a registered member of the Ontario College of Teachers. -
Post-Secondary Education:
Must hold an acceptable post-secondary degree or equivalent qualifications.

5 Full University Degree Credits in the Subject:
Official transcript(s) showing proof of successful completion of 5.0 university degree credits in Physics.Note: for the first Science Senior Qualification listed on the Certificate of Qualification candidates require successful completion of 5.0 university degree credits in the subject. Any subsequent Science Senior Qualification candidates require successful completion of 3.0 university degree credits in the subject.
PLEASE NOTE:
1.0 university degree credits is the equivalent to 1 full year course, or, 2 half-year courses.
Recommendations
Successful completion is a final grade of C-Upon successful completion of the course, a recommendation will be sent to the Ontario College of Teachers.
