Kristine has been an elementary teacher since 2004, and currently teaches in the Halton District School Board. Kristine has taught every grade from K-8 and is currently a Special Education Resource Teacher.
Prior to her classroom teaching experience, Kristine wrote and delivered curriculum for an educational publisher, providing technology-integration and curriculum solutions to meet different educational needs around the world. Kristine pursued her passion for higher learning through Graduate Studies at OISE and now holds a Master of Education in Leadership, Adult and Higher Education, focusing on Educational Leadership and Policy. She holds her Principal's Qualifications, Special Education Specialist, and is qualified to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions. Kristine holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a Minor in French, from McMaster University. She earned her Baccalaureate in Education from the University of Ottawa. Kristine is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and is involved in Professional Learning for the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.
She is a lifelong learner and an experienced mentor and collaborator. Kristine aims to create reciprocal relationships through adult learning, helping participants to strengthen their networks and use their relationships to build their capacity together. Kristine is passionate about improving student achievement. She advocates for the equity of outcomes for all students and hopes to inspire others to do the same. An avid user of technology in education, Kristine is motivated to facilitate online learning for OISE, a global leader in education.
