OISE Continuing and Professional Learning recognizes that in order to meet the learning and development needs of today’s workplace, education professionals are advancing their own skills and knowledge by exploring new concepts of how adults learn, the impact of social technologies that support collaboration and the need for solutions that integrate readily into the workplace context of learners.
To support education professionals in their chosen professional learning journey, we’re evolving our learning programs to reflect workplace realities.
Workplace skills are a new form of economic currency and both employers and employees are recognizing the need and commitment required for continuous learning in the workplace.
The Program
The Adult Learning and Development Program is designed for education professionals who wish to advance their knowledge and skills of workplace learning methods and practices. The program achieves this professional learning need by providing the best balance of adult learning and development theory with existing and emerging workplace learning practices.
Education professionals who participate in this program will complete four compulsory course offerings and one elective course offering to achieve an OISE Continuing and Professional Learning Certificate of Completion.
